BIOGRAPHY

Ainsley Rounds is a mixed media artist and graphic designer based in Southern California. Her work studies upbringing and perception through a multidimensional lens, drawing inspiration from nostalgia, growth, and the passage of time. Her process is guided through illustrative practices of sketched storyboards and color play, and takes shape in a range of mediums from drawing and fiber arts to printmaking and painting.
In her final semester at Meredith College in Raleigh, North Carolina, she is dedicating a portion of her independent studies to explore combining her knowledge of fine art and graphic design to create work that is functional in everyday life. Through this process, she is working on illustrating and designing a 2026 Calendar. Ainsley will be graduating Meredith College in May 2025 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Art and Graphic Design.
Her artwork has been featured in several publications of the college’s literary and art journal, The Colton Review, as well as being exhibited in the 40th, 41st, and 42nd Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition, in which she was awarded with the Eleanor Ruerer Award in 2023 and the Student Choice Award in 2023 and 2024. Ainsley is currently working towards her capstone group exhibition Echoes of Self that will open on April 3rd, 2025. After graduating, Ainsley will continue her artistic practice as an emerging artist, as well as continue her study of combining the two practices of fine arts and graphic design to create playful art for utilitarian purposes.
